Horror movies force people to confront their fears, but certain films are so creepy that viewers cannot bring themselves to watch them twice.

It takes an eerily shocking tale to make any fan refuse to watch a movie twice. Movie buffs who love a night of creepy movie watching might not be so quick to re-watch these releases, ever again.

It's common for horror movies to be too creepy, gruesome, or shocking for viewers to watch. But horror flicks aren't the only disturbing movies out there. Even some comedies or dramas might be nightmarish.

Creepy and strange movies are being released all the time leaving fans shaken or confused, or both. Some are just a little too much to handle.

10 The Perfection (2019)

The movie The Perfection is not for viewers who have a weak stomach. This story is strangely hilarious even with all its gruesome scenes and bizarre storyline. The troubled music prodigy, Charlotte (Allison Williams) meets Liz who is now a famous musician who once attended Charlotte's former music school.

After some new-found friendships, love and traveling, things start to spiral downwards and Liz is in deeper danger than she can ever imagine. Charlotte is more disturbed than she appears and her wrath takes movie viewers by surprise.

9 Us (2019)

What would happen if people came face to face with their doppelganger? According to the 2019 movie Us, it would not be pleasant and it would most likely end in tragedy and trauma. The movie directed by Jordan Peele has so many strange twists and backstories that eventually attempt to line up and make some sort of sense.

A family encounters their ominous duplicates who attempt to take over their lives and get rid of them through eerie games of doom. Us is suspenseful, bizarre, and so baffling that movie fans cannot see themselves watching this flick again.

8 The Descent (2005)

Truly one of the creepiest movies around, The Descent is a one-time must-watch. The 2005 movie follows a group of experienced women cave explorers who find themselves in a situation that no one would ever want to be in.

Lost in a cave system, caved in, and with injured members. That isn't the worst part of this distressing story. There is something or someone in the cave system following them and the worst things that could happen in a deep dark cave, do.

7 Nina Forever (2015)

This freakish movie starts as a drama which leads to a horror that ends in a comedy. Nina Forever tells the story of a young woman named Holly and a young man named Rob who fall in love after Rob's girlfriend Nina dies. The haunting starts rather quickly and the creepy atmosphere of being watched lingers in the air.

When Rob and Holly attempt to be intimate, that's when Nina appears in her gruesome and bloody state. Nina won't let the couple have a normal relationship and she strangely becomes a loved member of the group. This horror-comedy movie is so uncomfortably eccentric, it may never be watched again.

6 The Human Centipede (2009)

The controversial and grotesque movie, Human Centipede is one that everyone agrees belongs on this list. It has such a disturbing concept that many movie fans refused to watch it even one time. Two tourist women go on a trip to Europe. After their car breaks down, they find themselves in the home of a mad scientist who drugs them and confines them to surgical beds in a locked room.

From that moment on the most disgusting and petrifying bodily operations happen that will leave any movie fan deciding to never watch this movie again, much less the 2 sequels that were released a few years later.

5 Hush (2016)

This 2016 movie will give any movie fan nightmares. A young deaf woman named Maddie retreats into an isolated area to comfortable do her work as a writer. The whole situation seems tranquil until a masked stranger appears.

Hush is a movie that chills viewers with tons of anxiety, suspense and worries for the main character. She is perfectly capable of taking care of herself but her lack of hearing puts her in more peril than anyone. The masked killer realizes that his victim is deaf and plays a series of creepy and cruel games.

4 It (2017)

What can be creepier than a shape-shifting clown who torments children with their greatest fears before feeding on them? That is the ultimate premise of the movie It. Seven children are the smart bunch in town that try to put a stop to the evil clown, Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) while facing their fears.

The 2017 remake of the 1990 horror film is a modern rendition with a more eerie ambiance that makes viewers want to put this movie away and never think of clowns again.

3 Martyrs (2008)

The movie Martyrs is a psychological thriller and horror that brings trauma to the forefront and viewers are left feeling that the victim has taken things too far. Lucie, a young woman who suffers from a terrible event in her past involving kidnapping and torture, decides to seek revenge. Her friend Anna who also suffered abuse is convinced to go along with Lucie but things start to go from getting revenge to doing the unspeakable.

The feelings of dread and suspense are felt by the viewers as violent scenes and the constant climax unfold to the very end of the film. This is a film that is not easily forgotten and that one doesn't really ever need to watch again.

2 The Platform (2019)

Netflix fans might have already come across the horror movie The Platform. It is a movie that can be described as utterly disgusting and cruel. The creepy atmosphere of this flick is unnerving and both the food gorging scenes and hunger scenes are just too awful to watch.

Human survival, cruelty, and even politics are all involved here and the viewer can see it all through the eyes of one man who is voluntarily there as a "prisoner". The Platform definitely has a strange but intriguing horror concept that leaves audiences feeling extremely uncomfortable watching the struggles of both greedy and hungry humans as well as the attempts of the futile noble-hearted.

1 Terrifier (2016)

The title of this bizarre horror flick tells it all. Terrifier is so spine-chilling and uncomfortable to watch. The man in the clown paint and suit is a real person with a very dark objective and an obvious psychological disturbance that make him monster-like and not human. He terrorizes two women who primarily think he's a funny weirdo but his creepy behavior and frightfully forced smile make them realize there is more danger in him than they imagined.

For fans who laugh at the thought of horror clown-movies, Terrorizer is the movie that will turn that smile upside-down.
