The Umbrella Academy's Number Five is a grumpy old man trapped in a kid's body. That has made him the perfect subject of some hilarious memes.

Netflix's The Umbrella Academy has created some truly entertaining and relatable characters. In both seasons 1 and 2, the Hargreeves siblings struggled with their powers, relationships, and the constant threat of the apocalypse. Each sibling was further developed, and different character combinations led to brilliant interactions.

Number Five has always been expressive in his opinions. He has a complex personality and high intelligence. Every time he is on screen, viewers know something compelling is in the works. With more scenes come more Five reactions, and with more reactions comes more Five meme content created by fans.

10 Five Saving The Day

Since the very first episode of The Umbrella Academy, Five established his intelligence. He is the one who knows about the apocalypse. The one who travels in time. He's the instigator. He's saved the day more than once and is the one who bands all of his siblings together.

When the shock ending of season 2 was revealed, viewers pleaded that Five would again save the day. And he did. He went back in time by seconds and saved his entire family and himself from a slaughter. This meme shows how he's always one step ahead.

9 Relatable Five

While the other Hargreeves siblings had years between world-ending scenarios, Five didn't have the luxury of rest between apocalypses. One of the most chaotic energy moments of the second season was when Five approached his younger older self.

This, of course, places him and the timeline at risk. The seven stages of Paradox Psychosis adds to the high stakes and hilarity of the moment, giving viewers many expressions of an addled Five.

8 His Love For Dolores

The end of season 1 saw the separation of Five and his beloved mannequin, and season 2 kept it that way. But the dynamic was an interesting and quirky addition to the series.

It showed just how lonely Five had become in his time away from his family, a time where all of civilization was wiped out. He had become reliant on Dolores and even found himself saving her "life" when Luther used her against him.

7 The Oldest Sibling

Unfortunately for Five, he's going to have to go through puberty twice. He's the oldest sibling and he wants respect but is constantly seen as a kid. In season 2, viewers were introduced to the Five that should have been. The Five who existed in his age-appropriate body.

But it was also the version of Five who was yet to rekindle his family relationships. He was the Five who was holding on to hope, with the trauma of living drastically alone still lying heavy in his heart. He's literally both of the characters from Up.

6 Five Victorious

Five is stubborn. It's the reason he went too far in the future to begin with and the reason he got stuck there. So, when things go wrong in their attempt to save the world from the apocalypse, Five went to The Commission, stole himself a briefcase, and did a time rewind. Five then moved his siblings through time to escape the apocalypse when they couldn't stop it.

Enter the 1960s and Five uses his powers to create dominance over his enemies and siblings while also accepting a deal with The Handler. When the time came to save everyone's lives, Five stopped a slaughter and took his siblings back to the future.

5 It's All About The Teamwork In The End

Five always comes around too late, so he spends the rest of his time trying to make what happened unhappen. He's the one who sees his family dead in the apocalypse. He uses all of his time at The Commission to come up with a plan, as well as the right equation to go back in time and save them.

In the second season, Five experienced the anguish of again having to prevent his family's deaths and another apocalypse. Before Five entered the picture, the things his family had done weren't enough. They needed Five to band them together and come up with a plan. This meme's got a point. But in the end, it's that one percent that makes everything come together.

4 Five's Struggle

Unfortunately for Five, he got a decimal wrong in his calculations and landed in the future in the body of his 13-year-old self.  His character is caught in a very annoying dilemma. Five is often mistaken by others to be a young boy; by the lady at the bowling alley and Agnes when she served him at the cafe.

But it's something viewers love about his character. The fear was real when the possibility of the version of Five they had come to know and love would no longer exist, to be replaced by his older faced yet younger aged Five.

3 The Moods Of Five Hargreeves

Number Five goes through major emotions in every episode. He's either stressed from the impending doom of the apocalypse, trying to hunt down his siblings to convince them to stop the end of the world from happening, or trying to find a decent cup of coffee.

He's witty, smug, sarcastic, and bursting with tired energy. Five is determined yet unrestrained. He is loving and supportive when his life isn't in danger, but it constantly is. It's safe to say that this meme is on the money.

2 Seven And Five

As of yet, Vanya and Five are no doubt, two of the most powerful Hargreeves siblings. But season 2 showed promising revelations with the other Hargreeves siblings. Ben can inhabit Klaus's body, while Diego can control the trajectory of bullets.

During the scene where Vanya and Five radiated their energy in a standoff, viewers watched to see what would happen. But nothing did because they both came to their senses. Still, there's potential there.

1 Whatever It Takes

Five will do anything to save his family, even if it means he has to put himself in uncomfortable situations and even if he has to fight his morals. In season 2 of The Umbrella Academy, Five killed an entire room full of people for The Handler.

He had to fulfill his side of the deal to get a briefcase from The Temps Commission so that his family could leave the 1960s. But his siblings didn't show up in the time slot they were given and Five's efforts were in vain.
