The first big achievement for Jack Swagger in WWE came on the ECW brand. WWE completely transitioned that show into a distant third brand mixing mid-carders with new prospects getting their first taste of a bigger platform.

Swagger received a huge push on the show when entering a feud with Matt Hardy for the ECW Championship. The series of matches featured Swagger coming out on top to become the top heel on the ECW brand.
9 Most Well-Received Match Came In Rare NXT Appearance
WWE experimented with sending main roster talents to NXT for matches with the top prospects there when Triple H created the brand. Jack Swagger made an appearance to wrestle Sami Zayn since his tag team partner Cesaro had a feud going with him at the time.
The match between Zayn and Swagger was almost as impressive as the series Sami had with Cesaro. Swagger showed his full potential against someone that could bounce around the ring and sell his submissions to perfection. This match received more praise than anything Swagger did on the main roster.

WWE tried a few different things to add excitement to Jack Swagger’s character since he lacked the promo skills of most top stars. The strangest idea came when Swagger had his own mascot accompanying him to the ring.
Swagger’s Soaring Eagle became part of his act to spruce things up and add some pizzazz beyond his lack of charisma. The mascot didn’t last too long as fans predictably couldn’t get interested in someone dressing up like an eagle.
7 Broke Cesaro's Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy
Cesaro and Jack Swagger were still a tag team when Cesaro scored his huge WrestleMania 30 victory in the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. WWE even had them teaming up earlier that same night in a tag match on the pre-show.
The team ended the following night when Cesaro announced Paul Heyman was his new manager and left the Real Americans. Swagger looked to get revenge by not only attacking Cesaro but by breaking his trophy to damper his big victory.
6 Ended Zack Ryder's United States Championship Reign
WWE listened to the fans when pushing Zack Ryder to win the United States Championship from Dolph Ziggler after months of chants. Ryder’s organic rise unfortunately didn’t’ lead to a long title reign as he dropped the belt to Jack Swagger.
There was more confidence in Swagger’s potential at the time than Ryder doing anything special with the belt. Unfortunately, Swagger had a much worse title reign and lost the title quickly to Santino when he was doing his comedic face character.
5 Won Elimination Chamber Match To Receive WrestleMania Title Shot
Jack Swagger may be the most shocking name in WWE history to win an Elimination Chamber match. The Elimination Chamber 2013 PPV featured Swagger defeating Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Kane, Mark Henry and Chris Jericho.

WWE tried to make up for Jack Swagger’s weak promos by having him become a client of manager Vickie Guerrero. Swagger suggesting Vickie manage multiple clients saw him working with her and Dolph Ziggler for quite a few months.
Ziggler and Swagger didn’t have much chemistry despite teaming up with a hated manager doing the talking. WWE ended this storyline by having Vickie book a match between the two with the loser Swagger no longer being represented by her.
3 Won The Last MITB Match To Take Place On A WrestleMania
The Money in the Bank ladder match used to be a fun tradition on WrestleMania for five years before WWE created a PPV for it. Names like Edge, Rob Van Dam and CM Punk had huge moments in their careers winning the match.
That makes it a little stranger to believe that Jack Swagger was the final wrestler to win this match on the biggest stage. Swagger grabbed the briefcase to win the match at WrestleMania 26 in a finish that fans were shocked to see unfold.
2 Tried To Cash In On John Cena Before Chris Jericho
Jack Swagger had one of the shortest stints holding the Money in the Bank briefcase before cashing in on Chris Jericho later that week. However, fans will overlook that Swagger almost cashed in even earlier on WWE Champion John Cena.
The Raw after WrestleMania 26 saw Swagger running to the ring to cash in on Cena before realizing he wasn’t hurt enough for an easy win. Swagger successfully cashed in days later when Jericho was attacked by Edge to become the World Champion.
1 Was Part Of The Michael Cole Vs Jerry Lawler Feud
Jack Swagger is likely glad that he’s rarely remembered for his presence in the all-time bad feud between Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole. The heel character for Cole saw him recruiting Swagger to be his muscle heading into the matches with his commentary partner.
Swagger took a stunner from Steve Austin after the abysmal WrestleMania 27 match of Cole beating Lawler by DQ. WWE painfully continued the feud with Swagger and Cole defeating Lawler and Jim Ross in a country whipping match before moving Swagger on to other things.
