5 Best Tag Team Partners Of Tommy Dreamer's Career (& 5 Worst)
David Mccullough With a career spanning several decades in many large promotions, Tommy Dreamer has earned his status as a beloved figure in professional wrestling through hard work and plenty of bloodshed. Whether it was his star-making run as the heart of Extreme Championship Wrestling or his continued presence on the independent circuit, Dreamer has ground out his entire wrestling career.

Along the way, Dreamer has amassed several championship runs as a singles star, including two reigns as ECW World Champion. In addition, Dreamer has also become an accomplished tag team wrestler who has shown versatility with many different partners. While some have been more successful than others, The Innovator of Violence has never given up along the way.
10 Best - Young Blood
Towards the end of ECW, there were still plenty of familiar faces on the roster hanging on until the promotion's end. Tommy Dreamer was a faithful ECW wrestler who would go down with the ship and would interact with new faces along the way.
Young Blood consisted of Christian York and Joey Matthews, and they were poised to become a hot tag team act in ECW. Dreamer teamed with them on several occasions and used his cult-like status in the company to help elevate the new, young stars.
9 Worst - Johnny Gunn
Dreamer first broke into the wrestling business in 1992, and floundered for several years, even after he joined ECW a year later. However, he was pushed very early as a star and won the ECW World Tag Team Championship in his third match alongside Johnny Gunn.

While winning a championship in their first appearance together would normally be considered a success, however, this partnership was shortlived. In fact, Gunn was not present for their first championship defence, which Dreamer promptly lost with a replacement partner.
8 Best - Cactus Jack
At a time when Mick Foley was considered to be among the greatest hardcore wrestlers of all time, he was right at home in ECW. One of the only things that could have made him more popular was teaming alongside the Innovator of Violence, Tommy Dreamer.
In 1995, when Foley was at his peak popularity with ECW fans, they teamed together to take on some of ECW's biggest stars, including The Sandman and Raven. While they would feud shortly after their partnership, their hardcore styles blended perfectly.
7 Worst - E.V. 2.0
Despite many of the original ECW alumni included in the E.V. 2.0 group, there were very few things that were either extreme or positive about them. Following several incarnations of ECW originals teaming up in the years following ECW's closing, this 2010 group seemed to be grasping at straws.
Impact Wrestling's attempt at fanning the flames of ECW fandom fell flat and did not inspire anyone. Considering that they were unable to use the ECW name and many wrestlers were past their prime, the group did not achieve anything other than sullying their extreme namesake.
6 Best - Masato Tanaka
Masato Tanaka does not get the credit he deserves for his toughness and performance inside the ring. With a long career stretching across Japan and North America, Tanaka should be spoken about in much higher regard for his abilities as a wrestler.

While many fans know him for his singles career, he was also an accomplished tag team wrestler. In 2000, he teamed with Tommy Dreamer on several occasions, even winning the ECW World Tag Team Championship on one occasion with him.
5 Worst - Luna Vachon
ECW was not known for its women's division, and they rarely even featured female wrestlers on their shows. However, when they did, the women certainly were extreme enough to be a part of the roster, which fits Luna Vachon perfectly.
Despite Luna's talent inside the ring, her partnership with Tommy Dreamer never seemed to gel. Despite the intergender pair challenging Raven and Stevie Richards on three occasions for the ECW Tag Team Championship, they were unsuccessful each time, making them rather unsuccessful.
4 Best - Beulah McGillicutty
Out of each of Dreamer's partnerships inside of the ring, only one would transition to one outside of it. After meeting in ECW in 1995, Dreamer would marry his former valet Beulah McGillicutty in 2002, and they would eventually have two children together.
Alongside their marriage outside of the ring, Dreamer and Beulah were also very accomplished inside of it. According to CageMatch.net, out of the eleven times they teamed together in ECW, they won nine of the matches, making them a very successful intergender team.
3 Worst - Colin Delaney
During WWE's reboot of the ECW brand, the roster was a combination of ECW Originals and new faces looking to make a name for themselves. While some of those new wrestlers did move on to bigger and better things, there are some that even hardcore wrestling fans would struggle to remember.

Colin Delaney wrestled a handful of matches in WWE's ECW and was treated like a joke during his stint. However, Tommy Dreamer took a liking to him and they teamed together for most of his run, even challenging for the WWE Tag Team Championship twice, but Delaney's lack of skill cost them any shot they had at achieving a win together.
2 Best - Raven
When looking at Tommy Dreamer's career, Raven is normally cited as his greatest rival. However, when looking even closer, he can also arguably be called his most successful tag team partner. With a long stint as ECW World Tag Team Champions together, they proved to be very successful when paired together despite their differences.
Long after ECW closed in 2001, Dreamer and Raven have continued to team together on the independent circuit. Given their long history together, fans are still excited to see them share a ring together, and their partnership continues to be successful.
1 Worst - The Alliance
There were many things that went wrong with the Invasion of WWE in 2001 that wrestling fans are quick to point out. With both WCW and ECW closing in 2001, both companies were included in the attempted hostile takeover of WWE, but many wrestlers fell by the wayside.
Most ECW talents that were brought in during The Invasion were forgotten about quickly and did not play a big part in the storyline. Tommy Dreamer accomplished very little as a member of The Alliance, and only started to break out once the story ended, which left his career much better off.
