Matthew Perez The AEW roster is filled with gifted in-ring workers, and that is why the match quality is so high, and that sees some excellent moves take place. There are some brilliant finishers used in those which help to create an exciting end to those encounters, but not all of them work perfectly.

Some of the most talented workers in AEW history have ended up bringing the worst finishers to the show, while many of the weaker wrestlers have had the complete opposite. It goes to prove that finishers can make a big impact, and it isn't always the main event players that deliver the most exciting moves.
10 Great Wrestler With A Bad Finisher: Chris Jericho (Judas Effect)
Chris Jericho has had several different finishers over the years, and while the Walls Of Jericho is an iconic move and the Codebreaker is also entertaining, his current finisher isn't. He displayed the Judas Effect post-WWE to try and showcase a more aggressive attitude during his Painmaker days.
The problem is that while it looks fine, it is essentially just a spinning back elbow. This is a move that a lot of others use as something transitional within a match, which is why it doesn't feel as special when Jericho wins with it.
9 Bad Wrestler With A Great Finisher: Brandi Rhodes (A Shot Of Brandi)
Brandi Rhodes may no longer be with AEW, and the majority of her time with the company was spent in a non-wrestling role, however, she did have several matches. She wasn't one of the strongest workers on the roster but she did make major strides and brought some interesting moves.

One of those was her finisher, A Shot Of Brandi. This saw her hit the ropes and then hit a leaping knee to the face of her opponent, and it was something she perfected and made to look excellent.
8 Great Wrestler With A Bad Finisher: Darby Allin (Coffin Drop)
Considering all the amazing high-flying moves that take place in an AEW ring every week, the Coffin Drop doesn't pack the same punch. The big issue is that it just doesn't look as impactful as other moves from the top rope, with this essentially being a trust fall as he goes backward onto his opponent.
While it creates a good visual and it can look extremely painful when his opponents move, when he does land it this isn't as good as other finishers in the company. Considering the risk-taking attitude Darby Allin has, it's surprising he can't bring a little more to the table.
7 Bad Wrestler With A Great Finisher: Luther (Camel Clutch)
The Camel Clutch isn't a brand new move, and it certainly isn't as flashy as many of the others that are performers regularly in AEW. However, few moves in the company look as genuinely vicious and devastating as Luther's Camel Clutch variant.
This iconic submission looks painful anyway, but Luther takes it to the extra mile by yanking the mouth of his opponent while jabbing his fingers into the eyes at the same time. It looks brilliant and is something that makes fans wince, proving it is effective.
6 Great Wrestler With A Bad Finisher: Ruby Soho (No Future)
Ruby Soho is a fantastic wrestler who is capable of piecing together a brilliant match that will grip fans, until the finish. That's because her No Future move is very underwhelming when it comes to bringing an end to a match, mainly because of how many impactful moves people see nowadays.
Soho just hits a kick to the face to bring an end to her matches, and it's something that a lot of people don't even expect to end a match if they're first-time viewers, showcasing how poor the finisher is.
5 Bad Wrestler With A Great Finisher: Brandon Cutler (Springboard Elbow Drop)
Brandon Cutler has mainly been used as a comedic talent during his time in AEW, now truly showcasing the in-ring talent that he brings to the business. However, when he has been given the chance to finish a match he has showcased his ability with a great finisher.

Cutler has utilized the Springboard Elbow Drop which is a great move that brings his matches to an end in dramatic fashion, whenever he gets the chance to actually hit it.
4 Great Wrestler With A Bad Finisher: Adam Cole (Boom)
Adam Cole's finisher does get an audience to react, as any knee strike to the back of the head should do. However, when you compare the devastation that this move seems to provide in comparison to something like the V-Trigger, it is severely lacking.
When it comes to a finishing move people want to see a little bit more, and considering how talented Cole is as a performer there's no doubt that he could come up with something slightly more creative.
3 Bad Wrestler With A Great Finisher: Marko Stunt (450 Splash)
Marko Stunt brought plenty of heart and he added a lot from a character perspective to Jurassic Express. However, due to his height, he was limited to what he could do inside the ring and that was clear by the fact that Tony Khan ultimately ended up releasing him.
However, there's no doubt that Stunt could pull out some great moves when he needed to. This included his finisher which was a 450 Splash and was a fantastic high-flying move.
2 Great Wrestler With A Bad Finisher: Orange Cassidy (Orange Punch)
Orange Cassidy might've seemed like a comedic character at first in AEW, but over the years he has proven himself to be one of the most talented workers in the company. The things he can do in the ring are fantastic, particularly when you consider he does a lot of it with his hands in his pockets.

The only downfall is his finisher, the Orange Punch. While it works as a comedic knock on Roman Reigns, it isn't truly convincing as a finisher. It works for Reigns due to his size and muscle, but when it comes to Cassidy it lacks the same impact.
1 Bad Wrestler With A Great Finisher: Jade Cargill (Jaded)
Jade Cargill isn't a terrible wrestler, but she is just extremely green and still developing. In comparison to others in the women's division the former TBS Champion is still lacking inside the ring, however when it comes to delivering big power moves that look impressive she can deliver.
That is certainly true when it comes to her finisher, Jaded. It's one that instantly gets a reaction from people because it looks like something that would hurt a lot, and that's ultimately all people ask for when it comes to a finishing move.
