There is nothing better than a great faction in wrestling. When done right, they can be absolutely fantastic, as they bring so many different personalities and styles together in an entertaining fashion which leads to so many fun moments.

Groups such as DX, Evolution, or the Four Horseman have gone down in history, and right now NXT has two fresh factions doing great work. The Undisputed Era and Imperium are showing signs that they will be major deals moving forwards, but which team has been the best?

10 Undisputed Era: The Pack Attacks

The key to a great faction is how they will always help each other and work together to achieve success. Out of the two groups, it is Undisputed Era who does this better, with their pack mentality really being impressive.

They will work on opponents weeks before a match, attacking them and playing mind games, which is something that Imperium hasn't quite got to grips with as well yet.

9 Imperium: Creates New Stars

One big reason why Imperium is the better faction is that this group being together has actually helped create stars out of Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner, while also growing Alexander Wolfe as well.

On the other hand, Undisputed Era is made up of four wrestlers who were all massive names prior to joining WWE. They were always going to be a success, which makes Imperium's faction mean a little more.

8 Undisputed Era: Consistency

While it isn't exactly Imperium's fault that they've not been a group as long as Undisputed Era, Adam Cole's faction has now been together for several years and they have dominated everyone they've come across.

Lots of different teams and groups have been come and gone during Undisputed Era's run, and that showcases how good they are. They've outlasted them all and maintained their spot at the top of NXT, which is why they're such a great group.

7 Imperium: Focus On In-Ring Product

For Imperium, the ring is sacred, and the focus is all about the wrestling. While they have a more serious approach than most factions, for them it absolutely works in their favor as it gives them a real purpose.

They have much more of an identity as a group and feel like a true unit, which helps them stand out as a brilliant faction.

6 Undisputed Era: More Entertaining

While Imperium does focus on the in-ring work, which means their matches are always incredible and they take everything seriously, the fact is that Undisputed Era is far more entertaining.

They are serious when it comes to in-ring work, but very entertaining with their promos. It allows them to be a little more fun and therefore they're much more entertaining overall as a group.

5 Imperium: WALTER's Impact

Both groups are built around one man, with Imperium focusing on WALTER, while Undisputed Era focuses on building and protecting Adam Cole. However, out of the two leaders, it is WALTER who has been the most dominant early on.

The United Kingdom Champion is an incredible performer, and while Adam Cole is rarely beaten, he isn't quite at the level of dominance that the Imperium leader is.

4 Undisputed Era: War Games Work

Even though Undisputed Era has actually lost two out of the three War Games matches they have been involved in, the fact they have competed together in three of them shows how good they are as a faction.

Fans are interested enough to want to see them appear on a regular basis at big events like this, which are all about factions. They are consistent in working big events focused on factions, unlike Imperium.

3 Imperium: Worlds Collide Victory

WWE knew that Imperium and Undisputed Era were two of the best factions in the company early in 2020 when WWE decided to book them to face each other at Worlds Collide.

It was a huge eight-man tag team match that really was a fantastic main event, bringing the best out of both teams. But in the end, it was Imperium who stood tall, which is a clear sign that they're the stronger group.

2 Undisputed Era: Held All The Gold

While they are no longer in that position anymore, the fact is that at one stage, the Undisputed Era held all the gold in NXT. The fact they had every single championship that is available makes them a more successful group collectively.

They have dominated NXT and destroyed everyone in their paths throughout each titles division. This is something that Imperium are still working towards achieving and proves how good they are.

1 Imperium: Cross Brand Dominance

Right now, Imperium hold titles in both NXT UK and NXT, which makes them an internationally dominant faction. WALTER stands tall as the UK Champion, while Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner are working as the NXT Tag Team Champions.

This is something that Undisputed Era have failed to do, only managing to dominate in America, which does give Imperium the edge as to being the greater faction in terms of dominance.
