Professional Background

A native of Brazil, Adriana Queiroz, Ph.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the KU Department of Occupational Therapy. She joined the faculty at KU Medical Center in October 2022. She teaches courses related to mental health, foundations and analysis with a personal focus on leisure as occupation.

Queiroz  earned her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and her master's and doctorate degrees in leisure studies from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil. She is currently in the final stages of her post-doctoral fellowship at Universidad de Chile.
