AEW Fight Forever Players Fearful Over Lack Of Updates
Sophia Edwards AEW Fight Forever has already been available for an entire month, making those three years we were all waiting for it already feel like a lifetime ago. However, the support for AEW's first video game during its first four weeks has been minimal. So minimal that its players are now not only a little worried about its future, but also seem to think if and when Fight Forever gets its teased Stadium Stampede mode, there won't be enough people playing to support it.
Worried For Fight Forever
One post on the Fight Forever subreddit points to the game's Steam numbers for proof that players will struggle to find matches in Stadium Stampede. Not much has been revealed about the upcoming BR mode, but its trailer did clarify it will let 30 players battle each other online. If a lobby needs 30 players for the match to start, that might pose a problem.

As you can see in the post below, around 120 people are playing Fight Forever at its busiest time of day. If a Stadium Stampede match needs 30 people to start, then anyone wanting to play needs to bank on 29 others wanting to play that same mode at the same time. Slim chances of that happening with a pool of just 120 players. Fight Forever also doesn't support crossplay which means no filling up matches with PlayStation players if you're playing on PC.
Lack Of Support
The sustainability of Stadium Stampede isn't the only thing players are worried about. Another post on the same subreddit bemoans the lack of updates almost a month on from release day. The post highlights stats being wiped and rematches not counting towards a player's win/loss record as two issues that are presumably easy to fix that haven't even been addressed, let alone dealt with.
Online play as a whole, even before the arrival of Stadium Stampede, appears to be an issue. THQ Nordic has even addressed a problem where players were quitting at just the right time to ensure a defeat didn't affect their online rank. A lot of issues to be dealt with, and clearly the worry for those who want to carry on playing Fight Forever long-term is that the problems won't be fixed.
When the game will be getting an update of any description remains unclear. Stadium Stampede has no release date, and THQ confirmed this week that the dates on the Nintendo store for upcoming DLC packs aren't accurate.
