Braun Strowman Wanted To Team With His Dad Against The McMahons
Mia Smith WWE released more than 80 Superstars in 2021, some of which were more surprising to see make the growing list than others. Perhaps one of the most shocking people to be shown the WWE exit was Braun Strowman. A former Universal Champion who had competed for the WWE Title just a few weeks before his release, Strowman seemed like the perfect wrestler judging by what Vince McMahon tends to look for in his employees.

Nevertheless, Strowman is now a free agent and has been competing at the odd independent event over the course of the last few months. As for what he accomplished while under the WWE umbrella on top of what has already been mentioned, The Monster Among Men was in tent pole matches at the last two WrestleManias. A win over Goldberg at WrestleMania 36, and a cage match versus Shane McMahon less than a year ago.

Turns out Strowman didn't necessarily want hs rivalry with Shane to end after throwing him off a cage at WrestleMania. The former Universal Champion revealed on Twitter this week that he pitched teaming with his own, non-wrestling dad to take on Shane and Vince McMahon.
Vince Didn't Fancy It
“Pitched the idea of Shane and Vince vs my Dad and I. Then budget cuts,” Strowman replied to a fan. Strowman had initially posted a family photo in which he wished his dad a happy birthday. He then shared a screenshot of Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker also wishing his dad well, to which the fan replied asking if Strowman would ever consider teaming with his dad for a one off match.
Turns not only would he do that, he has already tried to make it happen. Strowman moved on in WWE after beating Shane, but at this moment in time, it's the last match the McMahon has competed in. Perhaps there was talk of Shane coming back and Strowman pitched their rivalry continuing and getting Vince back in the ring to boot. Maybe we'll see Strowman Sr. get in the ring elsewhere now his son is no longer a WWE Superstar.
