Chelsea Green Says She Felt 'A Little Bit Annoyed' With The WWE System
Sophia Edwards Former WWE Superstar Chelsea Green has opened up about feeling frustrated with the way inner workings of the company during her time there.
Green, a former IMPACT Knockouts Champion, was on TV regularly during her tenure with IMPACT Wrestling. However, when she signed for WWE in 2018, she had to report for duty at the WWE Performance Center and was placed in the company's developmental system. Speaking on the latest episode of her Green With Envy podcast, Green talked about how jarring that experience was.
"IMPACT hired me when I was only two years into my career," Green stated. "That is unheard of to be thrown on TV after only two years of wrestling. It's a different monster and a different beast when you get hired by WWE because they have a Performance Center they have a developmental program but in IMPACT, if they hire you, that is because you are TV ready and you are put on live television right there. So the fact that they had that much faith in me is just wild," she added.

The Canadian also mentioned a special 60-minute episode of IMPACT which aired on Canada Day and was all about her and expressed her frustrations at having to start from rock bottom after she jumped ship to WWE.
"How the f**k can I go from IMPACT [and] being named champion? [IMPACT] gave me main event matches, they aired a 60-minute show solely on me to WWE, where I couldn't even get on TV for over a year" Green vented. "Like, tell me how that's possible.”
As you might recall, Green was one of several WWE performers who were released from their contracts on April 15.
"I feel like I haven't been bitter about WWE since I was released. I've been open-minded about the release and the fact that doors are now open for me since the WWE door closed," she said. "But this time, I just couldn't help it. I was feeling a little bit annoyed with the WWE system."
Green's tenure at WWE was plagued by injury setbacks, and when she wasn't injured, the company didn't utilize her to the best of her abilities. Who can blame her for feeling annoyed at how things turned out?
