His father, Julius Rock II, was a truck driver and newspaper deliveryman, while his mother, Rosalie Rock, worked as a teacher and social worker.
Chris did his schooling at James Madison High School. During his childhood, he was often bullied and beaten by the white students in his school. As time passed, the level of bullying worsened, leading him to drop out his high school. He later earned a GED.
