The words we used to use to describe Eddie Hall was swole or strong. But since the the former strongman and boxer began his bodybuilding journey at the beginning of the year, words like shredded and ripped have become more apt.

They're definitely the words we'd use to describe the image Hall just posted to Instagram, showing off his pre-cut physique.

For those not already aware, at the turn of the year, Hall announced that in 2023 he would be exploring the world of bodybuilding. Since then, he has been putting himself through intense workouts with the great and good of the bodybuilding world – including Jamie 'The Giant' Christian and Flex Lewis.

Now, in a post on his Instagram account, Hall has revealed that his bodybuilding cut will begin in earnest in eight-weeks time. However, the former 432lbs star has already dropped to 385lbs, and let's just say his fans have noticed.

‘Abs at nearly 400lbs is just a sick joke,’ wrote one user. ‘F*****g guy has abs at almost 400 lbs…… imagine him at 315,’ commented another.

Hall previously revealed exactly what his preparation for a big bodybuilding show would look like. 'I'm gonna do a big bulk, so I’m gonna blow up, get all my muscles big and juicy again, and then we’re gonna do a trim,’ he said.

As for his reasoning for wanting to go into bodybuilding in the first place, the former World's Strongest Man said: ‘I've done the strongman, done a bit of boxing, I was a national champion swimmer back in the day. I think bodybuilding is a great transfer over from strongman.’
