The six-time WWE Champion is in many wrestling fans and critics' Mount Rushmore. Austin had an outstanding wrestling career, and he was one of the pioneers of the Attitude Era. Unfortunately, his career was cut short in 2003 as he sustained a broken neck at SummerSlam 1997. Austin often walks on his lonesome but seeing him form makeshift tag teams with some of his greatest rivals has been fun to see.
9 The Million Dollar Corporation
The Million Dollar Corporation led by "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was one of the most underrated factions in the New Generation Era. However, DiBiase recruited Steve Austin, and he gifted him the Million Dollar Championship. Austin as The Ringmaster failed drastically, and Austin wasn't too fond of the character either.
Austin's stint in the Million Dollar Corporation was brief as DiBiase managed Austin on his lonesome. The likes of King Kong Bundy and IRS departed WWE in 1995. Austin and DiBiase worked together until May 1996, when DiBiase departed WWE to join rival company WCW. Austin incorporated the Million Dollar Dream in his repertoire for a short while.
8 Tag Team With Dude Love
In the summer of 1997, Steve Austin formed a short-lived tag team with Dude Love. Love was one of the Three Faces of Foley, and they defeated Owen Hart and The British Bulldog for the WWE Tag Team Championship on the July 14, 1997, edition of Raw.
Austin and Love's tag team wasn't long for this world as Austin continued his feud with the Hart Family. Dude Love then reverted to his Mankind character and he battled Triple H in a steel cage match at SummerSlam. Unfortunately, Austin suffered a neck injury at SummerSlam when he became a double champion as he beat Owen Hart for the Intercontinental Championship. Austin and Dude Love's WWE Tag Team title run ended in September with Austin on the shelf.
7 Tag Team With Shawn Michaels
Steve Austin turned babyface at WrestleMania 13 with Bret Hart becoming a heel in a perfectly executed double turn. The Texas Rattlesnake was arguably the biggest face in WWE, and he formed a formidable tag team with fellow Texan Shawn Michaels. The Heartbreak Kid was back in action after he lost his smile before WrestleMania 13.

Nevertheless, Austin and Michaels got off to a fast start as they defeated Owen Hart and The British Bulldog for the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, their relationship went south, and the reigning Tag Team Champions collided at King of the Ring 1997. They relinquished the titles in July, with Austin going on to team up with Dude Love.
6 Tag Team With The Undertaker
By 1998, Steve Austin was a two-time WWE Champion, and he was the undisputed face of the company. However, Austin feuded with The Undertaker in the second portion of the year. The Texans were going to clash over the WWE Championship on the Highway to Hell at SummerSlam. Nonetheless, Austin and The Undertaker were tag team partners, and they beat Kane and Mankind at Fully Loaded: In Your House to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.
While Austin and The Undertaker were better rivals than partners, it was good to see two of the all-time greats forming an unlikely partnership. Of course, they were never going to be Tag Team Champions for long with Kane and Mankind reclaiming the titles.
5 The Stud Stable
Steve Austin's run in WCW isn't spoken about as much as his polarizing run in WWE. However, Austin was under the tutelage of Colonel Rob Parker, and he was a member of the Stud Stable. The likes of Arn Anderson, Terry Funk, Meng, Dick Slater, and Barry Windham were other members of the group.
Austin wasn't in the group just to make up the numbers, he was quite successful in the Stud Stable. He held the WCW United States Championship twice. Nevertheless, the Stud Stable feuded with the likes of Dustin Rhodes. Moreover, with Brian Pillman sustaining a legitimate injury, it allowed Austin the chance to flourish as a singles competitor in WCW.
4 The Dangerous Alliance![The Dangerous Alliance Cropped]()
Another brilliant faction that Steve Austin was a member of in WCW was Paul E. Dangerously's Dangerous Alliance. Dangerously is better known to wrestling fans as Paul Heyman. The stable began to gain traction after Clash of the Champions in 1991. Austin joined the group alongside Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton, Larry Zbyszko, Madusa, and Michael Hayes.

Austin came into the group as the reigning Television Champion. He held the championship twice during his stint in the Dangerous Alliance. Unquestionably, Austin benefited from being a member of the Dangerous Alliance as they battled some all-time greats.
3 The Two-Man Power Trip
Former rivals Steve Austin and Triple H formed one of the most powerful tag teams in the Attitude Era. Austin and Triple H joined forces on the Raw after WrestleMania 17. The Texas Rattlesnake and Triple H became known as the Two-Man Power Trip. They ran roughshod on Raw. Austin was a newly-minted heel, and he was the reigning WWE Champion.
Triple H also had the Intercontinental Championship in his possession. Their dominance did not stop there as they defeated the Brothers of Destruction for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Backlash. They had control of all the main titles available to them. With the evil genius Mr. McMahon by their side, they were an unstoppable force. Unfortunately, Triple H sustained a quadriceps injury in May which ended the Two-Man Power Trip's partnership prematurely.
2 The Hollywood Blonds
Steve Austin and Brian Pillman were one of the most underrated tag teams in the history of WCW. Both men had a point to prove, and the pair working as a cohesive unit was great to see. The Hollywood Blonds were talented, and they defeated Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas for the WCW Tag Team Championship in March 1993.
They held the titles for five months and feuded some with of the top teams that WCW had to offer. The Hollywood Blonds moved on to a feud with the Four Horsemen shortly before their partnership dissolved. Pillman injured his ankle, and Austin had a push as a singles competitor, and he joined Col. Rob Parker's Stud Stable with Austin turning on Pillman.
1 The Alliance
Leading up to Invasion, Mr. McMahon wanted the "old Stone Cold" to return. Austin, McMahon, and Kurt Angle featured in entertaining backstage skits. Austin briefly turned face in the summer of 2001, and he reverted as a heel when he turned on WWE at Invasion, and he joined the Alliance.
Austin, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, and Paul Heyman were the integral figures of the Alliance. Austin excelled in this role as a leader, and it was leadership by example. He was not afraid to throw his power about, and he disciplined the likes of Tazz. Austin was the Alliance's WWE Champion, and his feud with Kurt Angle took the Olympic Gold Medalist to another level.
