A Sutton Place penthouse once owned by Judy Sheindlin, aka Judge Judy, returned to the market this past summer for $2.75M after selling to its current owners for $2.875M in September 2019. Sheindlin, who was reportedly TV’s highest-paid personality, sold the duplex unit for $2.25 million in 2010 and its value appreciated an astounding 31% in less than a decade. Since the pandemic and the following market turbulence, its price has come further down to earth, reducing its price from $2.75M to $2.6M last week, 10% less than what it sold for in 2019.

The residence is a 2,250-square-foot three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home with two terraces. On the 19th floor, you're welcomed by an elegant entrance gallery that leads into a spacious living room featuring a wood-burning fireplace and large windows. The first floor also contains the first terrace and a bright eat-in chef's kitchen with an adjoining home office area. Upstairs, you'll find the bedrooms and the second, more substantial terrace, spanning 570 square feet and equipped with an irrigation system.

One particular exaggeration included falsely representing the size of his triplex penthouse at Trump Tower as 30,000 square feet when its actual size is 10,996 square feet.

During the New York Attorney General Letitia James' fraud lawsuit against Trump and the Trump Organization, Allen Weisselberg, the former finance chief of Trump's company, maintained his innocence in his testimony. As a consequence, Judge Arthur Engoron ordered the appointment of a court-appointed receiver to assume control of some Trump companies, raising questions about the future oversight of Trump Tower and other prominent Trump properties. An appeals court later temporarily halted the enforcement of this aspect of Engoron's ruling.
