Despite Team USA’s underwhelming Ryder Cup performance, Justin Thomas fared fairly well in Rome. Ahead of the Ryder Cup too, coming straight out of a two-month-long break, Thomas finished in fifth place in the Fortinet Championship. And now he’s made his first on-course appearance after the international event at the Nedbank Championship this week.

The first round of the African major, saw JT grab the 32nd position, sharing it with 19 others, including his close friend Max Homa. And even though it was a less than ideal start for the 2-time major winner, he scored an even par. With 3 more days to go, however, Thomas has plenty of chances to turn things around, and given the heavy arsenal he’s carrying in his bag, he just might be able to!

What’s in Justin Thomas’ bag?

Justin Thomas sports a Titleist TSR3 driver and a Mitsubishi Diamana ZF 60 TX shaft. Prior to the Ryder Cup, he revealed his new shaft during the Fortinet Championship. He sounded quite impressed with the switch and spoke fondly of it.

JT uses a Titleist TS3 15-degree Fairway Wood again with a Mitsubishi shaft, but of a different model. He also uses the 18-degree 915 FD Fairway Wood from Titleist. For this wood, he went with a different shaft and chose Fujikura.

JT uses irons and wedges from the Titleist as well. For the four-iron, he went with Titleist T100 iron, and for the five and nine irons, he chose Titleist 621. For the irons, JT picked the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts.

In terms of wedges, Thomas went with the 46-degree Vokey Design SM9 wedges. He complements his wedges with 52 and 56-degree True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts. JT also uses a 60-degree Vokey Design Wedge Works Proto with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft.

The accessories JT carries around in his bag

Justin Thomas uses a Scotty Cameron SSS prototype putter from the Titleist. Reportedly, the putter is also used by other popular players such as Cameron Smith and JT’s buddy Jordan Spieth.

He plays with Titleist Pro V1x golf balls and wears Foot Joy. After ditching Nike, Tiger Woods has also been using Foot Joy, notably. And he opts for Greyson Golf Apparel’s collections when it comes to fashion.
