Despite numerous offers from different industries, he has chosen to come back to Kannada cinema with the prequel to Kantara.
At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Rishab Shetty recently conveyed his deep appreciation and affection for the Kannada audience. His comments at the festival, where he expressed his decision to focus solely on Kannada films, have quickly gained widespread attention.

Rishab Shetty expressed gratitude for the opportunities he received from other languages, acknowledging his admiration for those industries. Despite tempting offers to work with prominent stars in different languages, he emphasised the pivotal role played by his Kannada audience and expressed his eternal gratitude to them.

He emphasized his unique artistic sensibilities and affirmed his dedication to working exclusively in Kannada. Whether produced originally in Kannada or through dubbing, he insisted on maintaining the film's essence and emotion, ensuring a universal connection with the audience.

Meanwhile, the makers of Kantara recently dropped a teaser and a poster for the prequel titled Kantara A Legend Chapter 1.
