Kartik Aaryan is riding a wave of popularity. He often shares, reposts and interacts with his fans via Instagram, which makes him a hot favourite. Owing to his popularity, Kartik has now become the first Indian actor to have an Instagram filter dedicated to him. The new filter has the actor’s hit song ‘Ankhiyon se goli mare’ from his upcoming movie Pati Patni Aur Woh playing in the background with the face filter of his look from the movie.

A source close to the development revealed the app approached Kartik with an idea of having his own filter. The actor was excited and got on board instantly. Kartik however wanted to make sure that filter is no less than perfect as he didn’t want to disappoint his fans. The makers then took about a month’s time and came up with different options for the actor to choose from. Kartik finally chose the one, which made it on social media. He introduced his fans to the filter by recording a video of himself with his own filter first.

On being the first Indian actor to have a personalised filter, Kartik said, “ I’m addicted to Instagram. As everyone knows, I’m always active on this platform because it helps me connect with my fans and well-wishers across the globe. When I met the young and brilliant creative team of Instagram, we discussed several ideas and finally zeroed on this. It feels special to have my own filter on Instagram plus be the first one to do it here as well.”
