Mihlali Ndamase, a beauty influencer and YouTube content creator, was taken aback when she got an e-mail alerting her that she had been nominated for the prestigious Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list and had her team double-check the e-mail.
Mihlali was thrilled with the news and took to social media to thank everyone for supporting her. However, she's opened up about how she felt when she received the nomination and she just wasn't sure if someone was pulling her leg or not.
Speaking to Newzroom Afrika, Mihlali said that she called on her team to make sure that the e-mail was legit.

"I think the first e-mail I got about being nominated, I had to get my team to check if it was real. Once I got the congratulatory e-mail about being listed I was over the moon,” she said.
Mihlali was one of the African continent's young innovators on the list. They were honoured for their contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic and Mihali stood out after she made it to the list because of the work she has done.

She told TshisaLIVE that she did not expect to be on the list and that she will utilise her influence to expand her foundation and enterprises.
“I am from a very small town. I never imagined I would be on Forbes Africa at the age of 24. I am excited to use this platform to grow my business and inspire more lives," she said.
Two other young Mzansi stars make it to the Forbes 30 under 30 list
Briefly News previously reported that Kabza De Small and Master KG made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Forbes has just released their 30 Under 30 list and South Africa has a lot to celebrate because of it.
Music producers Kabza De Small and Master KG have made it to the list, making Mzansi absolutely proud of them for their hard work. This year's list was quite different because a lot of businesses have been set back by the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, Kabza and Master KG have made it despite the challenges that the pandemic might have posed to them. Mzansi is so proud of the duo and Mihlali Ndamase, who also made it to the list.
