WWE is one of the most popular sports entertainment promotions in the entire world. Apart from wrestling, the promotion is also known for its art of storytelling and portraying characters. However, often these stories turn real, and wrestlers tend to fall in love with each other. A few years ago, one of the most talked about a couple on the roster were John Cena and Nikki Bella.

However, fate held a different story for the couple, and the two separated one year after their engagement and a few days before their eventual marriage. Their breakup was caused because of certain personal reasons.

Soon, both Bella and Cena chose their own path and started walking on it. While Bella started dating her partner Artem Chigvintsev from Dancing with the Stars, she also eventually got married to him. On the other hand, John Cena found his life partner in Shay Shariatzadeh and married her in 2020.

However, Nikki Bella once revealed that when she first saw Cena with another woman after their breakup, she was left broken. She revealed in 2019 on her podcast that, ” When I saw the headline…my stomach went into knots. But then when I opened it up and saw the photo it was weird.”

The WWE Hall of Famer further discussed that is human nature to feel such emotions when they see their ex-partner with someone else or flirting with another person. Nikki Bella discussed that these moments tend to hurt a person’s stomach and make them feel like popping. However, Bella confirmed that neither of those feelings happened to her.

Nikki Bella is currently happily married to Chigvintsev and has a child with him.

If the ‘It’ couple of WWE had not broken up in 2018, then they would have been running 5 years strong now. However, such is not the case, and both of the superstars are now married with their different life partners.

Their breakup occurred because of their difference in opinion about marriage, and having children. However, in 2014, during an episode of Total Divas, Nikki Bella had expressed her concerns about their wedding after Natalya and Tyson Kidd were fighting just after their marriage.

She claimed that Natalya told Bella that she was getting a divorce, and it scared her about her situation with Cena. However, Natalya and Kidd did not end up in a divorce, and are still going strong.
