Valve plans to release the first part of its online comic book, The Sacrifice, detailing Bill's demise on September 14.

The prequel comic fills in the story between Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 before the Sacrifice DLC sees a release.

Part one of the comic, drawn by Michael Avon Oeming, will start detailing how Bill sacrificed himself before the cast of L4D met up with the folks in L4D2 in The Passing.

The Sacrifice DLC itself will be released for both L4D titles during the first part of October.

Damn it. We really liked Bill.
