Sheamus Reveals Truth About Rumors Of Real Life Backstage Fight With WWE Superstar
John Castro Just to be sure no one thought of him as unable to handle himself, Sheamus tried to set the record straight with Corey Graves on the recent episode of After the Bell when he spilled the beans about a rumor of him getting knocked out in a real life backstage WWE fight.
Sheamus talked all the details of a non-storyline backstage fight between him and former-WWE star Yoshi Tatsu. Back in 2009-2010, the two had a bit of heat after they shared an apartment, along with Ted DiBiase Jr. Tatsu wasn't contributing his share of the rent so Sheamus called him out on it. Over $500, the two had a bit of a pushing match backstage that didn't lead to much. But, when Sheamus later won the WWE Championship for the first time, a rumor had spread that Tatsu had knocked him out.
Knowing that really all they did was exchange words, Sheamus wasn't happy that rumors were spreading that Tatsu had gotten the better of the new champion. So, Sheamus sought out Tatsu again for an explanation. Yoshi claimed he had nothing to do with the stories when confronted, but Sheamus didn't believe it to be a coincidence.
It was at that moment he realized that in becoming the champion, "certain people" were out to get him and were going to play politics.
Sheamus Got The Last Laugh
Looking back at it now, Tatsu's career didn't amount to much in WWE. Sheamus, on the other hand, has gone on to become a multiple-time champion in WWE as in the midst of a pretty big push. But, as he also revealed on the podcast, there's a lot of unhappy people with Sheamus these days. His storyline with Jeff Hardy has rubbed many the wrong way.
There's not too many names in the industry you hear haven't, at one point or another, ruffled feathers. That's pretty rare air reserved for only guys like Kofi Kingston and Kane.
