“That’s Messed Up”: Jimmy and Jey Uso Reveal Their Real Relation to Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson
David Craig The wrestling world has seen the emergence of several families in the business. Families such as the Rhodes family, the Rotunda family, the Flairs, and one of the largest families, the Anoa’i family. The Anoa’i family consists of some of the most well-known wrestlers of all time.
Starting from Dwayne Johnson to Roman Reigns, this family has seen the emergence and rise of several top stars. Currently, a small part of this long family tree is active in the WWE. The Bloodline consisting of Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa is currently the most dominating stable on the roster.
Recently, The Usos sat down with Chris Van Vliet and gave him a detailed insight into their family tree. The brothers would speak in detail about how each of them is related to the other. They would also share a shocking fact about their relationship with Roman Reigns.
While many know, Jey, Jimmy, and Sikoa to be cousins with The Tribal Chief, such is not the case. During the segment, Jimmy and Jey Uso revealed that Reigns is not a cousin to them, but to their father. The current tag-team champions would further reveal their relationship with all other members of the Anoa’i family.
Who is Roman Reigns to Jimmy and Jey Uso? And how are they related to all other members of the Anoa’i family?
The Anoa’i family is a group of wrestlers related to each other, and hailing from American Samoa. When the Usos sat down with Van Vliet and started discussing their family tree, the segment began on a hilarious note. They would first describe Reigns, as their aunt. However, later they would claim Reigns to be their uncle, as he is first cousins with their father, Rikishi.
Further, they would reveal how they used to mess with Reigns growing up and call him, “Uncle Joe”. They further reveal Umaga to be their uncle, and late wrestler Rosey to be also their uncle and Reigns’ brother. Further down the line, they revealed Dwayne Johnson to be their distant cousin.
However, the shocking fact came when the Usos revealed they have 47 uncles. The Anoa’i family tree is one of the largest and over the years it has produced some of the most popular and well-known wrestlers of all time.
The Bloodline is currently facing turmoil, and fans expect everything to collapse at WrestleMania 39. Roman Reigns will take on Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 with The Usos possibly putting their tag team titles on the line against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
