It's been forty years since Bastian had read the book. He's now older in his mid 30s and he's an author. He published a book called, "My NeverEnding Story". His son named, Bastian Bux Jr., doesn't believe that his father actually was in Fantasia for real. Bastian makes his son believe him by taking him to the library where he took the book. Bastian gives his son the book that has many creative creatures and characters with the Auryn symbol on the cover.
