The Game wore the proverbial crimson mask which wasn't a surprise. Moreover, Triple H clocked Edge with a thunderous earth-shattering chair shot to the head. Nevertheless, Triple H was looking to put Cena away with a Pedigree, but Cena reversed it, and he retained the WWE Championship.

9 Triple H Vs. Jeff Hardy - No Mercy 2008 (4.25)

Jeff Hardy was finally viewed as a main eventer and he was fearless when it came down to mixing it up with the big boys. The Charismatic Engima was determined to end Triple H's WWE Championship reign at No Mercy 2008. This WWE Title match was remarkable, and despite Triple H being the heavy favorite, Hardy pushed him to the limit.

Hardy could see the headlines inked out with his name after he connected with the Swanton Bomb. However, Triple H's in-ring awareness was second to none. He rolled over Hardy with a crucifix pin to save his WWE Championship at the last minute.

8 Triple H Vs. Shawn Michaels - Raw 12/29/03 (4.25)

The rivalry between Triple H and Shawn Michaels continued on the final episode of Raw in 2003. The Game's World Heavyweight Championship was up for grabs, and the Heartbreak Kid had the hometown support with Raw emanating in San Antonio, Texas.

Triple H and Randy Orton opened up No Mercy 2007 in a WWE Championship match, and they closed out the show in a WWE Championship match. The main event was a Last Man Standing match with Orton looking to win back the WWE Title he lost to Triple H at the start of the night.

The pair hit a home run in a phenomenal Last Man Standing match. Triple H contested his third match of the night, and Orton refused to stay down. The Legend Killer connected with an RKO on the broadcast table, and Triple H was unable to answer the count of 10 with Orton reclaiming the WWE Championship.

6 WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match - No Way Out 2009 (4.25)

A new WWE Champion was guaranteed at No Way Out 2009 after Edge's premature exit at the hands of Jeff Hardy in the Elimination Chamber match. Triple H, The Undertaker, Vladimir Kozlov, and Big Show were the other four competitors involved in the match. This was one of the best Elimination Chamber matches in WWE history.

Especially the confrontation between Triple H and The Undertaker had fans at the edge of their seats. It was closely contested, but the Game captured his 13th World Championship after putting the Deadman away with a Pedigree.

5 World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match - Survivor Series 2002 (4.25)

A crushed trachea could not stop Triple H from continuing his quest to defend the World Heavyweight Championship in the inaugural Elimination Chamber match at Survivor Series 2002. The Cerebral Assassin had five hungry challengers in Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Booker T, and Kane.

The Game had a steady outing here, and he was on the receiving end of a botched Five-Star Frog Splash from Rob Van Dam. Nevertheless, Triple H left Madison Square Garden beltless as Shawn Michaels delivered Sweet Chin Music to Triple H and took home the World Heavyweight Championship.

4 Six-Man Hell In A Cell Match - Armageddon 2000 (4.5)

The only six-man Hell in a Cell match to date was full of drama at Armageddon 2000. Kurt Angle defended the WWE Championship against Triple H, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, The Rock, and Rikishi was the odd one out as he never held the WWE Championship. All six didn't stay in the cell for the entirety of the match.

Undertaker and Rikishi headed to the top of the cell, and the Deadman chokeslammed Rikishi off the top cell onto the back of the truck. The other competitors looked on in horror at what they had just witnessed. Moreover, Triple H was unable to regain the WWE Championship with Angle covering Rock to remain as WWE Champion.

3 Triple H Vs. Cactus Jack - No Way Out 2000 (4.5)

Huge stakes were riding on the Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Cactus Jack at No Way Out 2000. The Game's WWE Championship was on the line as was Cactus' career. This was a violent Hell in a Cell match, and the pair knocked it out of the park in an enthralling battle.

Their match spilled over to the top of the cell, and Foley clocked Triple H in the head with a barbed wire baseball bat wrapped around with fire. Ultimately, the cell gave way with Cactus crashing below the mat, and the Pedigree saw Triple H retain the WWE Championship.

2 Triple H Vs. Batista - Vengeance 2005 (4.5)

Triple H and Batista collided over the World Heavyweight Championship inside Hell in a Cell at Vengeance 2005. The Game was unbeaten in one-on-one Hell in a Cell matches, but he already tasted defeat at the hands of Batista at WrestleMania 21 and Backlash.

The Game was comfortable in this bout, but Batista did extremely well for a debutant inside the Devil's Favorite Playground. Triple H wore the proverbial crimson mask, but he suffered a third loss in succession to Batista who laid him out with a devastating Batista Bomb.

1 Triple H Vs. Cactus Jack - Royal Rumble 2000 (4.5)

The Street Fight between Triple H and Cactus Jack at the 2000 Royal Rumble for the Game's WWE Championship was one of the most violent matches in WWE history. Cactus had the hometown support with the Rumble emanating in Madison Square Garden.

A chunk of wood was etched in Triple H's thigh, but he soldiered on. Not even interference from The Rock could stop Triple H in his quest on remaining as WWE Champion. Cactus went through thumbtacks, and Triple H retained the WWE Title in a war of attrition.
