Jamal Adeen Thomas’s mother is Kathy Ambush. Kathy was born on June 7th, 1950, to a Worcester-based dental technician, Nelson William Ambush. Kathy got her high school education at Marian Central Catholic High School in Worcester, Massachusetts. She then acquired her first degree in business administration at Lincoln University. She is currently involved in volunteer work at Global Internet Entrepreneur. Kathy is currently living with her second husband, Allen, in Richmond, Virginia.

Jamal Adeen Thomas’s wife is Sakina Karima. She was born on 27th October 1973 to her parents, who raised her in Richmond. Well, Jamal loves her for a lot more than just her career choice. Karima acquired her law degree at Washington and Lee University School of Law.

She began her career as a lawyer in 2002. She worked with Kaufman and Canoles as an attorney from December 2002 to April 2004. Sakina, later on, started working at Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company as a lawyer for over five years.
